Description

According to Wikipedia, "Annapolis spent her entire 5-year active service at and around the DMZ of Vietnam. She did visit United States Fleet Activities Yokosuka in Japan for drydock and maintenance, United States Fleet Activities Sasebo in Japan, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Singapore, Perth, Australia, Keelung, Taiwan, and White Beach, Okinawa (Uruma, Okinawa) but the majority of port calls being U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay, Philippines."
I believe this to be a "Yearbook" for USS Annapolis for the year 1968, although there was no clear delineation of this as such a yearbook.  Of course there were photos and descriptions for "ANNA" throughout, and the Commanding Officer was Captain William J. Wacker.  According to his obituary found online, "...Completing duty for the Chief of Naval Operations and receiving his engineering degree from the University of Maryland, he assumed command of the USS Annapolis in 1968; the "Gray Ghost of the Vietnam Coast"."
This yearbook is in VERY GOOD CONDITION, with the only wear issues associated with the boards - they are light soiled with light to moderate corner and edge - wear mostly on bottom edges and corners.  Scenic endpapers, 124 clean and solidly bound glossy pages, no interior marks.
