The Firehorse Quaternal Indian Hackamore
is a Halter, Lead rope, Bridal and Four-Part Reining System "all in one".
In a few simple steps, it allows you to change from a halter and lead rope to do ground communication exercises, walking and leading your horse from the ground, ground tying, trailering, washing your horse, etc...
After preparing your horse and completing your ground communication. Your halter and lead rope can turn into a bridal and reining system that allows you to have many reining option. Such as split reins, single rein, two long-reins tied together, or single rein with one rein as a tail. You can also learn together to ride freestyle. By using a single rein connected to your Hackamore, and a neck rein that is wrapped around your horses chest, at the base of the neck. This is a very safe way of learning how to ride freestyle.
All of these options are achieved without changing, adding or removing any items from your horse’s head.  All options for the Firehorse Quaternal Indian Hackamore Reining System are included in one easy to use device, without having to add anything.
Built with a Marine based Polly propylene rope which is made for towing boats. It gives strength and weather durability while at the same time being soft on your horses face and body.
The unique keys to this reining system is that each rope is braided with a rawhide slide locking, ball and Loop connection on each end. Allowing it to link and lock together to form different patterns to connect, communicate and ride your horse. The rawhide ball slides through the braided rope, and the rawhide slide locker is glided down the braided rope to lock the rawhide ball in place. The reins are braided together using four 3/16 inch poly propylene ropes. The ball is made of a 1 inch rawhide braid and the slide lockers are 3/4 of an inch in width using a rawhide braid.

Hackamore Sizes:
Hackamore sizes are made to adjust to the face of your horse approximately 1 inch bigger or smaller.
Nose Measurement:
measure around the nose approximately 1 to 2 inches back from the edge of the mouth.
Head Measurement:
measure starting approximately 1 to 2 inches back from the edge of the mouth go around the head and back to approximately 1 to 2 inches back from the edge of the mouth.
Jawline Measurement:
measure starting from the middle in between the eye and the ear, go under the jaw and to the other middle in between the eye and the ear.

Our Hackamores are all hand crafted and braided with artistic care and precision to the utmost. Our leather and rawhide is all cured, cut and died all by hand. And we use the highest quality grade of rope, leather, and rawhide. Because of the time and care that we put into making our Hackamores, and our horses love to roll and play around with Mother Earth. We do not except returns. So it is with in you to take great care in making sure you pick the right size and measure your horse for an exact fit.
Adjustments:
are possible for horses that need a custom size fit and that cutting down to size can be achieved. We can not make a Hackamore larger in size, to one that is already made. However we can make a Hackamore custom fit your horse with three different adjustments to the size. For example; a horse may need a medium size head piece, a large nose, and a extra large jaw strap. So again please take great care in making sure you pick the right size and measure your horse for an exact fit.
Care/Maintenance/Guarantees:
If you use your Hackamore properly and take good care of it. We guarantee that the

will not get stiff, shrink or break.
Braided Rawhide
is guaranteed for one year from date of purchase. You may clean your Hackamore with lite water and wet rags. Too much excessive water will soften and shrink the rawhide. If your rawhide sliders become a little too tight. You may use a small dab of hand or body soap on the rope to act as lubricant to make the slider move easier along the rope.
Leather Tales
are not guaranteed. When not using your Hackamore with your horse. Be sure to hang it on a proper headstall hanger. Make sure that the reins are not twisted or in knots so that the braided rope does not develop kinks or twists. A well cared for Hackamore will last you and your horse a lifetime.
