Today we are happy to offer for sale a great antique football flask from the early 20th century!
The flask was done by Uhl Pottery of Indiana, sometime in the early 20th century, possibly as late as 1930. Crafted of stoneware, this fun miniature flask is in the shape of a football with a shiny brown glaze and a cork stopper. It has an unglazed flat bottom for easy display. Though unmarked, it is undoubtedly Uhl, with the style and quality to back up the name.
Flask presents in very good antique condition, with wear and patina commensurate with age and use. Some of the glaze is a lighter tan, but this appears to be from teh creation of the piece. There is one loss to the glaze on one side, but no other chips or major scratches have been noted. Cork has some discoloration and chips, as expected with a cork of this age.
This fun piece would make a lovely addition to any antique barware collection. Fresh to the market!
