Description
Up for sale is an original US Air Force flight manual for the North American F-100A Super Sabreaircraft
.
Dated June 17, 1963, the manual is contained within a heavy blue post-war AAF Publications binder. The manual itself is 1.25” thick, and when combined with the binder weighs over 4.11 lbs.
As indicated by the date stamp, this
particular
manual was received by the
Connecticut
Air National Guard's Base Maintenance unit on June 17, 1963. During this time period, the CT ANG flew the F-100A with the 118th Fighter Interceptor Squadron (FIS), 103rd Fighter Interceptor Group (FIG) out of
Bradley Field, Windsor Locks
.
Complete, and overall in good condition, as seen in the photos above, there is some water damage and staining to the lower right corners which decreases through the first 10 or so pages.
Sections include: Description, Normal Procedures, Emergency Procedures, Auxiliary Equipment, Operating Limitations, Flight Characteristics, Systems Operations, Crew Duties (“Not applicable to this airplane”), All-Weather Operation, Performance Data, an Alphabetical Index, and a section of 13 individual Safety Supplements.
There is also a yellow supplemental page to be cut out and inserted in the pilot's checklist, describing "Landing With Any One Gear Up Or Unlocked", and "Main Gear Up Or Belly Landing".
This is an original USAF manual, and is
not
a photocopy or CD/DVD.
