Michael Orange who was a PFC with an 81mm mortar platoon of the 1st Regiment, 1st Battalion of the 1st Marine Division. He was stationed at Fire Support Base Puller in the vicinity of Da Nang for a one year tour from 1968-1969. Here is his combat memoir and his experiences at Kent State University after his enlistment in the USMC.
